The Resolution Ritual

Ok so it's New Years.

Time for them Resolutions right?

I think that I usually do this all wrong.  I set too many goals that ultimately I don't feel like going after, and then give up on them one month in to the new year.  But I've decided to create a new resolution ritual, and this one is going to work.

I have three goals:
  •  Pay off my debts
  • Buy a Car
  • Get Published

I have four resolutions:

  • Go to the gym and maintain a fitness regime
  • Read a new novel a month
  • Write a chapter of my novel or 1 short story a month
  • Enjoy life and take more pictures

Instead of stating these ambitions at the beginning of the year with no method or plan to maintaining or achieving them, I'm going to ensure that I can complete a task each month.  At the beginning of every month I will review my three goals and four resolutions and post them here.

I hope everyone had an amazing New Years.  I spent mine with friends clubbing and it was an awesome night, although slightly soured as I had to go to work the next day with a top notch hangover ;)

Here's hoping 2012 is the year.
